City Districts

Almere is comprised of five different city districts, each with their own unique character and identity. Choose the cosy vibe of Almere Haven, which was the first part of the city to be built. Or get close to nature in Almere Buiten. Almere Hout offers all the amenities of city living but from an idyllic rural perspective, while Almere Stad is the modern, beating heart of the city. The newest district is Almere Poort, built alongside the IJmeer lake and the beach ”Almeerderstrand”. The city is expanding with areas like Oosterwold en Pampus.
